In early December 2007 I was to be found walking a small loop trail over at Raymond B. Diaz State Park in Eastern Texas. Much to my surprise I found a pair of water Moccasins. One was Male and one was female. This one decided to pose for me while the other (larger) one was running away.. I used the 300mm lens and had some distance between me and the critter before I started shooting.
A flower that was photographed at the Texas ren fest. I wish I could identify it and grow some at my place. But I as of yet have not figured this one out.
The picture doesn’t really need any explanation.

This is quite possibly my favorite image in my entire collection. Taken from the seat of my vehicle one day at sunset while stopped on top of the Toledo Bend Dam. The colors in the sky and the whole mood of the image are just amazing and I feel blessed to have witnessed the event.
