Its that time of the year again for me to stay up really late and make some star trails. So in preparation for a late night of star trail photography I took my wife up to a local out of the way vista some 20 miles away from the local cities. And we spent about 4 hours out on the side of a mountain taking pictures and just enjoying the night. I pulled about a dozen good images from this “warm up trip” and here is the first in the series.
