The horizon (or skyline) is the apparent line that separates earth from sky, the line that divides all visible directions into two categories: those that intersect the Earth’s surface, and those that do not. At many locations, the true horizon is obscured by trees, buildings, mountains, etc., and the resulting intersection of earth and sky is called the visible horizon.

This special little place is called the White Deer Pike and it runs from an area just north of Milton up into the near by mountains following I80.  I often find my self on this road on those hectic days when I really just need a few extra min to slow down.  I’m going to visit this particular spot in November and hope to come back and show you a contrasting image, a month later.
