Karthaus Township is a township in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. The population was 811 at the 2000 census.
Needless to say there isn’t much going on in Karthaus. However at a canoe launch just outside of town I did discover a really green Susquehanna River. There are so0 many back roads, and state roads and trails in this area that I haven’t even yet begun to explore. I do know there are Elk in the area as a previous trip last October revealed a few herds to us on our way back through the area. This shot was just a nice looking bend in the river with the sky just the right color. Every picture tells a story and for now, this story will remain a mystery.
