So every photographer goes through phases. These phases are generally influenced by life around us (or the absence of). In my case I happen to live on a 1/2 acre lot with a fenced in backyard. And for the past few years I have had these Chinese lilies growing in the backyard. This is the first year that they have really taken off as the initial bulbs have been maturing for the past couple years. Where things got interesting is that the first flowers of the season came out with this vibrant red flash. And for the past 3 days I have been studying the flowers trying to figure out how to best photograph them.
At 7:45 this morning during “magic hour” this was the first shot that I took of this amazing red flower.
